The third quarter of 2021 saw varying trends in the performance of the top carpooling and ridesharing apps on the iOS platform in the United Arab Emirates. Below, we delve into the weekly downloads and active user metrics for these apps, providing valuable insights based on Sensor Tower data.

Careem – rides, food & more experienced a stable performance in weekly downloads, fluctuating between 4.2K and 5.6K. The highest spike was observed in the last week of September, reaching approximately 5.6K downloads. Active users saw a notable rise towards the end of the quarter, growing from around 52.5K in mid-August to approximately 63.5K by the end of September.

Uber - Request a ride maintained a consistent trend in weekly downloads, ranging from 2.9K to 3.8K. The highest number of downloads occurred in the final week of September, with about 3.8K downloads. Active users steadily increased throughout the quarter, starting at around 99.4K in early July and reaching approximately 114.4K by the end of September.

Bolt: Request a Ride saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at 1.2K in mid-July before gradually declining to around 632 downloads by the end of September. The active user count showed a similar pattern, increasing from 887 in late June to around 1.2K by the end of September.
